Our School
Education and its power to drive a generation is undoubtedly the most formidable of all pillars that our society is built on.
Standing tall in Mumbai’s Fort area, The Cathedral and John Connon School has completed a century and a half of excellence in education in the country. Known to mould traditional values into a contemporary, real-world context, the institution prepares students to embark on a journey of academic as well as personal excellence. Like all good schools, no matter how old, Cathedral never stands still. It mends the best of the past with the challenges of the present. Once the bastion of the English public school values, today it reflects the multiculturalism that is India.
Our Club
The Full STEAM Ahead (FSA) Club was formally established in 2022 through the combination of two legacy societies - The Science Society and The Tech Society. The club aims to mould students into problem solvers, critical thinkers, effective communicators, and team workers by providing them with a platform to explore new ideas and build innovative solutions to problems presented to them. Students participate in a host of activities ranging from explaining solutions to IYPT problems to writing articles on STEAM based topics. Senior members of the club annually plan, organize, and execute the school's online high school hackathon (CATH CON), math competition (CMC), Art x STEM exhibition (Resonance) and science fair (InQuest). As a student-run club, FSA encourages its members to try out projects and experiments of their own. In fact, that's how most things at FSA start - the simplest of ideas are what make and run the club to this day. Above all, FSA hopes to further curiosity and passion for STEAM by providing students with a platform to explore their interests.
What is STEAM?
Named after the programme created by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and RISD, STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics and represents the global shift to include Art with STEM subjects, creating greater innovators and creative thinkers.
